In this video, Kimberly from CPR St. Louis, will show you how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). An AED is used to shock a victim’s heart to get it back into a normal sinus rhythm. Often victim’s in cardiac arrest exhibit cardiac rhythms such as ventricular fibrillation and pulse-less ventricular tachycardia. Again, the function of the AED is to shock the heart out of these rhythms and into a normal sinus rhythm.
