By at March 25, 2012 | 8:14 am | Print

In this video, Kimberly from CPR St. Louis, will show you how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). An AED is used to shock a victim’s heart to get it back into a normal sinus rhythm. Often victim’s in cardiac arrest exhibit cardiac rhythms such as ventricular fibrillation and pulse-less ventricular tachycardia. Again, the function of the AED is to shock the heart out of these rhythms and into a normal sinus rhythm.

CPR St. Louis offers Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) classes in the St. Louis area. BLS CPR classes are for healthcare professional students such as nursing students, medical school students in St. Louis who need bls cpr, dental students, etc. And of course, these are also the American Heart Association classes that are required for most current health care providers in St. Louis.
