The American Heart Association training site, CPR Cincinnati, offers hands-on, live classes in the Blue Ash area. Courses that are offered include Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and HeartSaver CPR and First Aid. All courses are taught by certified AHA instructors and each student will receive a 2-year card at the completion of the class. All cards are presented immediately after the successful completion of the class.

The BLS class is designed for doctors, nurses, and all types of therapists including occupational and physical, radiologists, dentists, dental hygienists, etc. This course satisfies all CPR requirements for students in any medical or healthcare-related field including nursing school, dental school, medical school, paramedic training, etc.

The instructor will teach how to give a correct chest compression, how to provide rescue breaths, how to use an AED, how to intervene in a choking scenario, and much more. These techniques will be covered for adults, infants, and children.

The American Heart Association just updated all the Basic Life Support CPR protocols for 2015. All classes will cover the updated algorithms that have been implemented by the AHA. All of these are based on the most current research in life-saving situations.

Every course will require each student to have an AHA manual dated 2015. The only time a manual is not required as a separate purchase is if the course is being conducted online. Note, however, that no AHA course can be completed completely online. At the very least, an in-person skills check is required for certification. But with the purchase of part 1 online course, the manual is included as an electronic version.
