Pediatric Advanced Life Support, also known as PALS, is intended to teach healthcare providers how to handle emergency situations with infants and children. The American Heart Association PALS course material prepares healthcare workers to prevent death and injury. It also provides instruction of research based algorithms that are used to treat infants and children suffering from respiratory failure, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest.

PALS certification classes by CPR St. Louis teaches 1st time pediatric healthcare providers the key changes in PALS based on the most recent updates by the American Heart Association. Our classes are stress-free and make each and every student’s learning experience fun and effective. Our classes are structured to build confidence and promote a healthy learning environment.

Successful completion of the course is based on a skills check of 1 and 2 rescuer CPR with an AED on a child, 1 and 2 rescuer infant CPR, Cardiac Core Case ( team leader ), Respiratory or Shock Core Case ( team leader ), and finally a written exam. Students are taken through the various training stations and taught how to treat infants and children in multiple emergent situations.
